Ayurveda Day

On account of 6th National Ayurveda Day 2021 under AzadikaAmruthMahotsav by Ministry of AYUSH - NCISM, Department of SwasthavrittaKarnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangalore A unit of SCS group of institution has organizedprogrammeon 02/11/2021 at Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College Auditorium. The theme for National Ayurveda Day 2021was “Ayurveda for Poshan”.

Dr Rajneesh Sorake, PresidentSCS group of institution delivered Presidential address. Dr P Rammanohar, Research Director, ACARA and Research Advisor, INSA, Government of India delivered keynote address and also greeted for the successful completion of the event. Dr Praveen Kumar C H, DDO Food SafetyDakshina Kannada was the chief guest and he addressed the gathering about food safety and how to conserve the food.

Dr Ravi Rao S, Principal Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangalore enlightened gathering about importance of celebration of National Ayurveda Day.Dr Jacinta MeenaD’souza, Vice Principal, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Administrative Officer SCS group of Institution Mr U K Khalid, Professor and Head of the Department of SwasthavrittaDrRaghavendraRao S were present during the occasion. Formal programme was concluded by felicitation of Dr Praveen C H.

After formal session Panel discussion on the topic “Ayurveda forPoshan” was organized from the department of Swasthavritta. Panelist for this session were Dr Ravi Rao S, DrSuchithra P S, HOD of Samhita and Siddhanta, DrSwapnaBhat , HOD of Dravyaguna, Mrs Lolita Maria D’souza, Principal SCS Nursing college shared their view on the given topic.

On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day, last week various competitions were organizedby literary committee coordinators DrSuchithra P S, DrHarikrishna B N and DrAshwini. Announcement of the winners of various competitions was done on the occasion of National Ayurveda Day. On the same day Flameless cooking and pick & act competition was conducted. Judges for Flameless cooking were – MrsVenita SCS Preschool, MrsLaveena, SCS Nursing college, DrRavindraBhat and DrShubhasri from Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College. Judges for Pick & act were DrChaithraShetty, DrSrijaya V Prabhu and DrPallavi.

Dr Jacinta MeenaD’souza welcomed the gathering; Vote of Thanks done by DrShubhasri B Assistant Professor Swasthavritta, programme was compered by DrSukanya V P Assistant Professor Swasthavritta and Coordinator for this event was DrNeethuDev Assistant Professor, PrasootiTantra and Streeroga.
