 Dr. Ravi Rao S has joined Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital as a Professor and Principal. Prior to it he was Dean of Faculty of Indian Medical system at SGT University, Gurugram and H.O.D in the Department of Dravyaguna. Dr. Ravi Rao S has obtained his under graduation from S.D.M College of Ayurveda, Udupi and Post Graduation in Department of Dravyaguna from IPGT&RA, GAU, Jamnagara and PhD from IPGT& RA, GAU, Jamnagar. He has guided more than 15 theses in Post Graduation department of Dravyaguna and 2 PhD Scholars and also guided for many research projects and published papers in recognized journals. He has organized many National level seminars, workshops, and CMEs. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in Muniyal Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences , Manipal Karnataka, later he worked at Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre at Shiroda Goa. Joined as Associate Professor at Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri, Later promoted as Professor, Dean Research and Vice Principal. During this period he delivered many Guest Lecture all over the country and also was in charge of Animal house. He was also member of IAEC of Alva’s, BOS member of GOA University and Yenapoya University.He likes to contribute more in the field of Ayurveda keeping a motto of service to the Man Kind.

Ayurveda, which literally means "The science of life", is the natural healing system of India, its traditional medicine going back to ancient times as earlier as the time of Vedas.
